Angels on wheels

Paris Barclay and Anthony Edwards Dante Di Loreto, Sarah Paulson and Jessica Lange Jennette McCurdy and Ariana Grande Damian McGinty, Samuel Larsen, Lindsay Pearce share a moment as Project Angel Food presents the 2011 Angel Awards at the Project Angel Food Kitchen in Hollywood. It was a "Glee"-ful Saturday night at the annual Angel Awards, which honored exec producer Dante Di Loreto for his support of Project Angel Food. He brought along singers Samuel Larsen and Damian McGinty, winners of "The Glee Project," who serenaded diners late in the evening as the show wound down on the transformed parking lot of the org's Vine Street headquarters. Since 1989, the org has provided meals for those in need, and so the bash was all about food. As the sun set, supporters and stars mingled first for tiny tidbits and a silent auction, as presenters Jessica Lange, Anthony Edwards and Pauley Perrette did the meet-and-greet with friends of the charity, which included Sarah Paulson, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Leslie David Baker, Louis Lombard, Paris Barclay, Bill Damaschke and Dan Schneider. During the delicious family-style dinner, soap stalwart Sean Kanan, he of "The Young and the Restless" fame, wore a different hat, talking up his new cooking/entertaining guide for men, "The Modern Gentleman," due out this fall, with honoree Lisa Lillien. That "Hungry Girl" Food Network star took home the Visionary Angel Award and was grateful to the crowd for committing to such a good cause on a night when they could have made a much different choice. "Thanks for coming here, instead of trying to crash Kim Kardashian's wedding," Lillien joked. "Face it, you know you all wanted to be there!" Contact the Variety newsroom at news@variety.com

Arthur Christmas unwraps a second teaser trailer

*A second teaser for Aardman Animations' first 3D movie _Arthur
Christmas_ has landed online.*

And it’s sort of hit and miss. Like the film’s first
teaser, it plays with the idea of talking to the camera, while
introducing the titular goofball Arthur.

Thing is, James McAvoy’s just annoying as Arthur, which is
unfortunate considering he’s the movie’s lead.

Luckily, most of the attention is given to Santa’s elves, who
are portrayed as military-style workers who are highly trained in the
art of warfare. Or, uh, gift-wrapping.

They’re easily going to steal the show.

Check out the new teaser below…

_Arthur Christmas_ opens 11 November.
